In the spirit of Valentines day and it’s significance (or lack thereof) in our society, I thought it was important to remind everyone (myself included) that there are many different ways to celebrate love daily.  It’s easy to forget to treat people with kindness, to stop for a moment and give our pets the love they deserve, our friends and equally as important, ourselves. Here is a collection of some quotes I though represented love in many different forms, enjoy.

Valentine Heart Button Craft for Kids

“Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies.” – Aristotle

“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Be My Valentine

“Animals are such agreeable friends, they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms”

2 Week Lesson Sessions July-August

Every summer, WEST Swim School classes transition from twice a week to five days a week. Your swimmers will attend Monday-Friday for two weeks allowing your students to progress at an enhanced rate.

All registration times and dates are available on our website: www.westswimteam.com

Registration can also be done easily on line.

Summer Swim Team:

We Are Still Accepting  Registration for Summer Swim Team!

Many families are not aware  that WEST runs a recreational summer swim team every year from the end of June until mid-August. If your child is a Salmon or a Shark in our lessons program or will be by the end of June, they are eligible to compete. This is a great way to get a taste of competitive swimming in a fun, safe and engaging environment.
All participants will practice with their own age groups: 8 years and under, 9 and 10 year olds and 11 years and older.
Swimmers are not required to compete however; WEST does participate in 3-4 semi-competitive swim meets staggered throughout the summer.
The swimmers will practice Monday-Thursday for one hour.
Practice times:
11:30-12:30pm or 6:30-7:30pm
This 2 month program is only $225

Private Lessons:

Are you unable to commit to daily swimming lessons due to schedule conflicts or pre-planned family vacations? Don’t give up on your child’s learning! WEST offers private swimming lessons that can be scheduled weekly or at your convenience.

Unconditional Love….

12 Jun

Image

We ALL have things we love….people, places and even things.

I know it has been a while since I wrote much, however, I believe in unconditional love.  First of all,  I have a kitten (my boyfriend calls her kitten, and she looks like one until otherwise spoken of) and she recently was spayed.  She was doing fantastic until she contracted an unknown “conjunctivitis”...her eye is blinking, it’s red….she’s a cat right? She can take care of herself?  NOOO…!!  I have always disliked Cats, their strange temperaments, basically narcissistic behavior and overall aloof attitude toward people and life…

My girl, Daisy, is the closest to a dog you can get…she is still a cat but is fun and silly….her conjunctivitis is so much of a worry to me that until it is fixed my unconditional love toward her is redeemed.   How many things in life do you have unconditional love toward?  Do you love your animal?  How much do you love Montana? Would you go back?

It has been some time since I  last updated my blog, but so much has been happening and I have not forgotten about this outlet!

I have recently taken up a new job, in a management position…this has taken me to a new level of thinking and also the balance between work and life.  I promise I will update soon, but as for now…look at the photos of my transition into Kirkland, Washington…

I see my blog transitioning into a work/life balance focus and am excited to share my experiences..please stay tuned!
